CMRC was founded in 1965. The station streams 24/7 on the Internet from October to June and is the project of students in the broadcasting program at Mount Royal University (Calgary, Canada). Our eclectic mix of music programming is punctuated with news on the hour as well as special features, documentaries and interviews, and live broadcasting of sporting and musical events around the university.
As the flagship production of the radio stream in the two-year broadcasting diploma program, CMRC Radio gives students an opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills in all aspects of radio. The studios are equipped with current, state of the art equipment and technology allowing students to excel in writing, editing, recording, reporting and production of on-air programs.
